Position Career Transition Specialist Reports To OA/CTS Manager

Cascades Job Corps is a Residential Trade Program for under-privileged youth ages 16-24.
Primary Position Objectives
Prepares graduates for successful job search, employment, military, and further education and training opportunities and to access resources and services that will assist graduates to successfully transition to the workforce.
Brief Description of Duties
Administration Provides initial and periodic assessments of each graduate’s needs at least six weeks prior to separation.
Position Competencies
Presents information both clearly and concisely and regularly confirms correct interpretation of information.
Demonstrates the ability to handle several projects simultaneously. Implements the key principles of time management, task allocation and priority assignment in addition to personal organization.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel.
Experience
Minimum of one to two years related experience in case management and/or job development
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications, or closely related field; or Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications, or closely related field and two years related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid State Driver’s License acceptable driving record.
